BASIC KNOWLEDGE ON CHARITY.

  Speaking on charity, one must know the actual meaning of it. Charity epitomes good moral behavior.
     Charity can be said to be an organization set up to provide help and raise money for those in need.
                                   OR
       A voluntary giving of help,typically in form of money, usually for those in dirge need of it.


              TYPES OF CHARITIES.

 1. Environmental  charities;  this helps to promote, preserve and appreciate the basic necessities in the society.

2. The Non- governmental Organizations (NGO); they mostly help in the promotion of peace and human rights and also child sponsorship organizations.

3. Health charities; this covers everything, ranging from supporting, down to the treating of the sick. Supporting of diseases, and medical services and treatment.

4. Education charities; this helps in the giving out of scholarship to undergraduates, secondary school students, promoting and effective administration of the school and teachers.

5. Arts charities; this helps to preserve artistic and cultural heritage, inform of performing arts,libraries and historical societies.

      To most people in the world, charity is mostly inform of money. However, TIME is another form. When you are short on cash,you can always donate time.
   
   Aside time,you can also render SERVICES inform of charity. This is usually done in the performing of professional services.
     
     The creation of United Nations Organization (U.N.O), has helped in the formation of more charities, mostly to all member countries. Examples are U.N.I.C.E.F, U.N.E.S.C.O.
       

     In conclusion, America has proven to be the fore runner of all countries in the world. Statistics has shown that America is the only single country that has the highest charity provider. Examples of such charities are :
1. United Way Worldwide.
2. Salvation Army.
3. Task force for global health.
4. American Red Cross.
   
         In Nigeria, there are some charities, that also help in diverse forms . They are:

1. Helping hands international.
2. Self aid initiative organization.
3. Monarmi Humanitarian Foundation.
4. Diaspora Home link Initiative.
5. Financial services.
